Purpose
As a Product Manager you play an important role in the design and development of our Platform and are accountable for maximising the value of your Product. This includes taking a data-led approach to product discovery, applying an iterative test & learn approach to product development, and ensuring effective Product Backlog management. You will bring your past experience to a talented Squad to further evolve the technical capabilities of our organisation and unlock new value for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Consider the needs of your product’s users, in coordination with asks and needs of internal and regulatory stakeholders
- Collaborate with other Product Managers to optimise your collective value and impact
- Establish and maintain product discovery tools (e.g. industry ranking, risk heatmap) to inform Backlog features and assess priorities
- Leverage iterative delivery cycles to reduce product development risk through a targeted test and learn approach
- Be accountable for maximising the value of the Product.
- Be accountable for developing and explicitly communicating the Product Goal and OKRs (objectives and key results).
- Communicate effectively with your Squad so that product requirements and priorities are well understood through fostering a shared vision and purpose.
- Be accountable for creating and clearly communicating Product Backlog items to all stakeholders and end to end. This will include creating training materials when needed, and internal and external communications on enhancements released to live.
- Be accountable for ordering Product Backlog items considering value and ease of delivery, among other factors.
- Be accountable for ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible, and understood by all stakeholders.
- Take ownership of your Product’s budgeting and financial forecasting including benefit realisation.
- Support product launches ensuring that any business impacts are actively managed ahead of go-live.
- Monitor the performance and scalability of your product against KPIs while also responding to changes in the market and client demands.
- Stay abreast of changes in the industry and the regulatory landscape which impact your Product so that you can seek to continually improve it and manage changes through it.
- Actively managing key supplier relationships in accordance with 7IM guidelines.
- Adherence to all applicable compliance standards and best practices at all times.
- Acting consistently in accordance with the 7IM VPVPs.
- Other, as reasonably required by your line manager and 7IM.
- While not directly interacting with customers, your actions should align with upholding the FCA's Consumer Duty principles, thereby contributing to fair and beneficial outcomes for our clients.
