About The Role

 
 

Purpose

As the Agile Delivery Lead you are resonsible for facilitating the delivery and the continuous improvement of multiple Squads, including improving their ways of working and agile mindset both directly and through leading the Scrum Masters to do the same. You will have a data led approach to measuring improvements and will have the ability to positively challenge those around you to drive better results. This role would suit someone with a delivery mindset who is able to coach and facilitate on both an individual and group level to make marked improvements in ways of working and drive mindset shifts. This role will report to the Transformation Director.

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of roadmap items, client outcomes, and business impacts directly and through the Scrum Master Chapter.
  • Manage, oversee and/ or dissolve any cross-squad and external dependencies which impact successful delivery outcomes.
  • Manage and/ or oversee the risk process, ensuring that Squads and the Portfolio are actively identifying and then driving down risks to achieve improved delivery outcomes.
  • Act as the Scrum Master for one Squad on a permanent basis and as required elsewhere.
  • Use Portfolio flow metrics to improve performance and identify bottlenecks, escalating any impediments as required.
  • Own and drive the capability development and best practices in the Scrum Master Chapter as well as promoting best practices across all disciplines.
  • Drive and motivate the transformation team alongside your leadership peers.
  • Own and facilitate Portfolio ceremonies such as Quarterly Planning and Portfolio Retrospectives.
  •  Liaise with Chapter Leads for individual and team development where appropriate.
  • Line management responsibilities for the Scrum Master team.
  • Adherence to all applicable compliance standards and best practices at all times.
  • Acting consistently in accordance with 7IM’s VPVPs.
  • Other, as reasonably required by your line manager and 7IM.

Qualifications

  • Agile certification and experience.

 

Skills

  • Highly communicative; ability to communicate across different levels, inc. Executive Leadership of the organisation with confidence.
  • Happy presenting in large forums with ability to command the room as required.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable offering mentorship, coaching, and leadership across the Transformation team.
  • Experience of Agile frameworks such as Scrum.
  • Experience of working in scaled agile environments
  • Use of PowerBI / ADO / Jira work management or similar tools to support agile ways of working.
  • Experience of collecting and using data to drive improvements.
  • A flexible, resilient facilitator, able to explain the ‘why’.
  • Able to facilitate Portfolio sessions, ensuring goals and outcomes are met.
  • Adept at influencing behaviour cross-team and cross-discipline without having formal organisational hierarchy.

  • Must be passionate about Agile principles and enthusiastic to embed them across Transformation team.
  • A level of technical knowledge and understanding with an aptitude to keep learning.
